Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with configuring the 9480iCT to allow each individual cordless handset to place outgoing calls simultaneously?

I have successfully configured the phone and 2 cordless handsets to register with my PIAF installation. Everything works perfectly except I cannot use both cordless handsets at the same time. Is this a hardware limitation or have I configured something incorrectly?

I realize that I should be contacting Aastra about this, which I have, but it's the weekend and I likely will not get a response before Tuesday (Monday is a holiday in Canada). I'm a bit of a jam to get this working this weekend.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

If it's similar to the 57i CT, the cordless phones function the same way as cordless extensions on home cordless phone sets, i.e. they are merely additional handsets that use the same number.

Thanks wardmundy.

That's what I was worried about. My only alternative would be the SIP-DECT phones by Aastra, but it's a much more expensive solution and my client only needs 3 phones in total.

I'll look into the Snom M3 too.

The M-3's from Snom work well. You can have up to 8 handsets registered with a base and 3 simultaneous calls. If you buy Snom M-3's, be sure to update the firmware when you get them.

Most likely I will go with the snom. Thanks for the advice.
