Ok i am looking to setup a directory of people to call using my aastra 57i CT. It for home use so it is just a list of friends relatives etc.

I have the the 2.1.1 XML script running on a orgasmatron 2. I believe that Sugarcrm works with this script but since i do not have Sugarcrm installed i don't really know. and asteridex does not have a button configured for use by default (well i could not find it) but could be added?.

what is everyone else using sugarcrm or asteridex or something entirely else? It would be nice if the handset portion of the aastra would also have access to the directory.

seems like sugarcrm would be the way to go.

I have asteridex here in an office of 15 workers/phones and it works well. Especially since it is a centralized database that anyone can update via web browser.

You can also use the phone's contacts button but it is per phone rather than a database.

well this is the first aastra i have here on the network. I am trying to make the system WIFE friendly so hence why the directory is needed. All the rest of my phones are cisco 7960's.

I am thinking that i will slowly replace them with aastras as i go though.

Are you using Astra phones gregc? It seems silly to add asteridex buttons when a sugarcrm is already installed .

anyone using sugarcsm with a aastra ?

can you point me to a how to ... to install it to my Piaf?

or just go asteridex and forget about it like Gregc said.
