Hi,

We have a PIAF installation still running XML 2.0 version. The customer is running 53i and 51i phones.

I have noticed that the phones all have different firmware versions non of the has 2.5.

I thought with the XML scrip installation, the phones will download and upgrade to 2.5.

Am I correct or we have to do that manually?

if that is the case then what could be the reason for not downloading the new version and upgrading?

Any thoughts on that?

Thanks

First make sure your permissions are correct in your /tftpboot directory. I have mine set to 777 and the owner is Asterisk. You can run the setup-t*f*t*p script and I think that sets everything correct.

Next make sure you have the .st files for your phone types in the tftpboot directory and not just zip files. Next log the phone out and then log back in. At that point it should grab the new firmware and configuration files.

Thanks Phone User and apologies for my late response.

1- Permissions under /t*f*t*p are set like this:
aastra.cfg is set to 666 owner Asterisk
<MAC>.cfgs are set to 644 owner Asterisk
*.st files are all set to 644 owner root.

Do you think this is causing the issue?

This is a production server so I don't want to disrupt things, but I will change permissions and owner of the *.st files to match tonight.

Thanks
