Hello!

I made a custom trunk, to play music, and then it calls my cell phone. When I call from my outside switch and calls trough freepbx, I get an error, no alert info. And the switch hang up the call after 60 sec. How can I make a fake alert_info or ringing onces in a while so that I could make calls last more than 60 seconds.

Anyone know how to change the ring to music and make an outbound call while getting in incoming call without answering the phone line?

The error the switch is giving me is Timeout occured: no alerting message.

Theres must be something missing. in the incoming did before I send it to my custom destination. Anyone had experience with this?

Use a ring group for this functionality. Create a ring group with your cell phone number (5125551212#) and change the Music on Hold option from ring to music.

Set the inbound route to point to this ring group.

When a call comes in on this trunk, the answer message will not be passed back to the trunk until you pick up your cell phone (or voicemail). This way your caller should hear music instead of ringing while your cell phone is ringing.

Yes. You are right, but after 60 sec. you get timeout. But when you do it from an extension, it works and dont get timeout. But when you call from another call comes in from a switch you get an no alert message after 60 sec. and the switch hangs up. But internally, by calling in from an extension it does work without a problem.

Maybe I need a custom extension. To be able to do this.

So you're saying that your incoming call is ringing 60 seconds, is never answered, and then is disconnected?

I know with voip.ms that you have an option on their side to set the max ringing time to 300 seconds. I think by default it might be set at 60. This is at the provider side.

I have a similar setup, the incoming call goes to a ring group which rings for 25 seconds, if no answer then goes to a second ring group with an announcement & music for 25 seconds and then to voicemail.

If I heard ringing only for more than 30-40 seconds, I'd hang up!
