amportal won't restart after daily backup

Having this weird issue that started yesterday, for the second time got to work to find out that the phones were not registered ... Looking at the logs show that asterisk went off for the backup and never came back ...
Any one have had that issue ?
I ran update-scripts and update-fixes the day before it all started. Can post logs if necessary
