Android/iPhone Forum Access

Ward - is there any special way to access the forum from a mobile phone? Do you or will you support the tapatalk plug in which makes access pretty seamless from mobiles.

I use it to access androidspin.com and xda-developers and have been very happy with it.

For security reasons that we really can't discuss, this isn't possible with the modified version of vBulletin that we run. You'd have to know what a security minefield vBulletin can be (and is!) to understand why adding anything like this would involve an enormous amount of work. Sorry.

Hate to resurrect an old-ish thread, but how about an iDevice app?

I was looking for this too, and then I discovered appMakr. So I made this app for my own use. Not on the app store or anything. I hope that is OK with Ward and the gang. Not selling it or anything. It just pulls the RSS feeds from VBulliten and displays them neatly.

Ross has indicated that this will be available in the App Store shortly.

Our Nerd Vittles app for Android devices (nerdvittles.apk) is available in the PIAF repository as well. And the PIAF Forum Feed for Android is available here. I like the Ross creation much better. +1 for iPhone.

I'll see what I can change about it to see if I can get it approved, and I welcome any and ALL suggestions. Available on Cydia shortly for those of you with jailbroken iPhones - and possibly another way for you non-JBers.
Edit: Add "http://cydia.myrepospace.com/RLindsay" to your Cydia sources and download PBX in a Flash Forum to get the app for you jailbreakers.
Edit 2: For you non-jailbreakers, I was going to send you the AppDrop link, but that will only work for my Provisioned devices, so here is the IPA. Just install via iTunes. Hopefully it will work.
