Announcement message list? Snow days call list?

Hi All,
I help run my local towns little league and I need to make a ton of calls to the parents to let them know what team their child is on, what events are coming up, game cancellations, etc.
I have a PBX in a flash installed in my home office and I was wondering if there was a way to set up some sort feature (similar to what my kids school does for snow days) that would allow me to record the announcement and have it automaticall dial the numbers and play the message.
I know there's a technical term for what I'm looking for, but I don't know what it is.
Any help or suggestions that anybody out there can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

If you want to do one call and repeat it, you could use the reminders module from nervittles.

Otherwise, try thier gabcast. It works with lists. I am not sure if you can do multiple lists at the same time though.

There is a commercial product called phonetree that does this very well. it even tracks success and failure and sends reports. It also will do surveys.

It would be one message repeated 20 or so times. It doesn't have to do multiple lists at the same time. I'll take a look at gabcast. thanks for the info.

Unless I'm looking at it the wrong way, I don't think gabcast will fit my needs. It looks like there's a cost associated with it and it's designed more for blogs, etc.
I'm just looking for a way to get my PIAF box to automatically dial a list of numbers and play an announcement.

TeleYapper is what you're looking for, and the price is right. It's known as message broadcasting, call blasting or phone blasting.

I played around with Teleyapper last night and it will work perfectly for my needs. I have a couple of questions about it though.
1) Is there any way to get rid of the "please stay on the line for an important message" played at the beginning of the announcement?
2) Is there a way to get it to wait for a tone when an answering machine picks up? It seems to know a machine answered, but by the time it records all I got was "press 1 to acknowledge receipt, press 2 to replay..."
I'll check out the teleyapper phone book as well. Updating the database the way it is is a bit of a pain.

You can change the please hold message if you look in extensions_conf you will see were it lies and change it to what you want.

As far as your other question do a search on teleyapper. There has been some recent discussions on this that will help
