Hi,

We have four extensions, one in each of our retail locations, and would like to know if a customer left a voicemail that was not checked within 15 minutes.

Is there any way to configure this?

Thanks,
-Ben

I don't think so, since there's almost no voicemail metadata stored in the system.

There are a couple of things you could try. Starting with the Asterisk CLI, you could easily check "voicemail show users" and check the "newmsg" count. If the number is greater than zero, there's a message waiting. Check it once a minute and if you get 15 checks in a row that are greater than '1', you have a culprit.

The only other way I can think of is to interrogate the voicemail directory on the server and look for files that are more than 15 minutes old.

Note that both of these methods are external to PIAF and/or Asterisk.
