We record every phone call, incoming and outgoing. As you could imagine its starting to take up a bit of space. What way do recommend getting them off the server and archiving them in a way that makes sense? Or, is there an easy way to compress them and still have the functionality to replay them back in the browser via the call monitor/recordings page?

Aside from writing a script you could manually copy voice mail from your piaf /var/spool/asterisk/monitor off box using WinSCP

Hope it helps.

General Settings > Call Recording

You have 2 options here, one of them tells asterisk where to put the files other than its default location - ex network path maybe to a NAS box?

2nd is calling a script you write to process the sound file as you see fit.

I am going to assume (have never tried it) that by changing the default storage location, that you still should be able to play the call file via the web browser. You will have to try it to find out.
