AsteriDex Script Is Ready

When I try out this functionality, I get Allison telling me that "this voice is not licensed...". However, it is licensed and nowhere else on my PBX do I get this message. Allison just tells me what I need to hear.

Not sure where to look/change for this go away.

Is there a version of Asteridex available that will work with uk dial codes?

What doesn't work?? You can store a country code in the LD prefix in config.inc.php. Then just store your UK numbers in the database. It supports 40 characters which should be enough... even in the U.K. :wink5:

I was originally going off the initial post:-

.....Only use this script if you are in the U.S. and you can dial outbound numbers on your PBX in the format 1-areacode-number.

I will get editing.

Just two other questions, I have 4 people who will be using this, can we share the directory and can each user have to keep on entering their extension number?

I have used the passwd-maint to change the passwords.

TIA.

Latest version lets you capture the extension number in a cookie on each PC.

Brilliant, that means it will work in terminal services as well!!

I seem to remember reading an artical by you a couple of years ago about using asteridex for incoming calls. Is this still possible?

I was having problems getting Asteridex to make calls it kept on ringing the phone but when i picked it up it alison said goodbye.

I sorted it by editing the extensions_custom.conf file and changing the dial pattern to X. (let anything through).

Also you don't need to go into any config files to get the trunks for Out_1 Out_2 etc, in FreePBX 2.5 goto the trunks section and if you move the cursor over each trunk on the RHS a context box comes up telling you the trunk number.

Thanks for posting this, compuguy - I have been tearing my hair out trying to get this to work in Spain.

Using 0034 as my $LDprefix, I'm rockin'!! This is a great addon (as we all know)!

Asteridex Recordings?

I have asteridex installed @ a customer location and they love the feature, the dialing is fine from an extension but I am not getting calls recorded when the extension is flagged for "Always" in FreePBX. Is their a way to have these calls recorded? Thanks in advance.

All Circuits are busy?

I seem to get the All Circuits are busy...
I even implemented the _X. method described above.
The internal extension rings, but the other does not
