Seems like a strange one to me. On boot - status comes up showing everything normal: Asterisk online, zaptel online, etc.

But then it say's "Running Asterisk Version : Loading"

asterisk -r shows: "unable to connect to remote asterisk ..."

tail the logs shows a zaptel issue problem (yet zaptel shows online)

NOW ... if I simply do an amportal restart ... it now loads.

:banghead: Any Thoughts ??

Same thing happening here. I have a Sangoma A200 (wanpipe 3.4.4) and the opening screen has:

Running Asterisk Version: LOADING
Asterisk Source Version: 1.4.21.2
Zaptel Source Version: 1.4.12.1
Libpri Source Version: 1.4.10
Addons Srouce Version: 1.4.7

Another odd thing... when I try to run asterisk -vvvvvr from the local machine the CLI comes up. When I run that command (as root) when logged in over ssh it shows:
bash: asterisk: command not found

My issue was related to Zaptel and timing source. I had to disable RTC in ztdummy.c and recompile it. Then everything worked fine.

When you shell into the machine, do you shell in as root or some other user? If you shell in as another user and use su to get to root, issue the command "su -" without the quotes. the "-" tells the shell to run the login scripts. The login scripts is where the path statement is.
