Hey Guys (again),
I'm noticing that asterisk has a hard time playing back audio files. So basically heres what happens. Lets say I reboot the server and go to check my voicemail or use hotel wakeup (or anything where multiple audio files are replayed back ... back to back). Asterisk stutters ...like badly. So for example lets say I call *68 for Hotel Wakeup. It sounds like this: He??o Ple?? en??? t?? ??me ?or ??or ??keup ??. Now this happens the first time. The next time I call back it sounds just fine ... is this because asterisk has cached the files?
I had this happen before when using a router as my asterisk server and I figured this was because it was reading off a little usb stick. But I have since purchased a pretty nice server with all new hardware etc.
Does anyone else have this happen? The only thing I could think of that could be causing the problem would be that I am using a 2.5 inch laptop hard drive and maybe the seek time is too slow?
Thanks
Matt
