I was wondering if anyone knew if this is possible... I want to autoProvision these without opening the box (drop ship to clients) where they plug them into an internet connection.

1. Would like them to auto lookup a master provisioning server at Yealink... I assume Yealink has this type of service, just don't know what to look for exactly. It would then point the phone to my t*f*t*p server specified.

2. Then t*f*t*p server would have the MAC specific settings to push out and provision the phone. In the same breath or somehow magically, the phone is then able to download and install it's OpenVPN settings/files... and of course us the Asterisk's machine's private IP address.

Anyone know if this is possible or where to start?

Yealink has a cloud based provisioning service, look through yealink.com you may find what your looking for.

RPS from Yealink is 'free' to dealers (sign up via your reseller/distributor)
RPS from Yealink works at or near the flawlessness level.
RPS is a wonderful process.

Grandtsream has GAPS (a cousin of Yealink RPS) (very similar process).
This is not free (it is a paid service) (yearly) to your distributor (and) cost per phone push (each time).
I've not used GAPS yet.
I want to, but the old/existing auto-provisioning process for GXP series phones works when needed (fingers always crossed).
