ALERT AXVoice Outage

Receiving "all circuits are busy now" on AXVoice outbound trunk. Tried to go to their website to see if there were any issues reported and discovered there site is GONE. Hoping this is only an outage and not permanent.

Last I checked, trunk is working, but their website is still down...

We've used AxVoice for many years but recently moved our DID elsewhere. Also noticed it went off line a few days ago. You always need a backup plan with VoIP. If you prefer all-you-can-eat, you might want to start here.

Yep. Looks like they've been dead all day today.

Yeah, up and then back down all day... Not looking good for AXVocie... The most disturbing thing, isn't even the interruption. It's that lack of communication from AXVoice regarding the interruption. So you're left wondering if they are having some sort of catastrophic outage, or if they're just silently pulling the plug. I emailed support yesterday morning, and never heard back. And the last update in their twitter feed, (the perfect place for outage updates) was September 14, 2012.

I decided to try obivoice. Looks promising!!! Thanks for the recommendation!

UPDATE: axvoice.com was still down a few hours ago... Just checked, and the site is finally back up (for now) for the first time since yesterday morning. Fingers crossed, however, having multiple providers (as you pointed out, Ward) is good insurance.

The beauty of VoIP is that it costs almost nothing to line up multiple providers in case you ever need them. Most SIP providers don't charge a nickel until you use their services to terminate calls. Don't wait 'til the house is crumbling to act!
