Busy Call Return, something most Telco's offer. I'm surprised it wasn't part of Trixbox or even now pbxiaf.
I know many times I've not wanted to keep hitting redial. Is this something that would perhaps be do-able?

As I recall, this feature was automatic, where you engaged it, and the central office rang you back when the line became free. Of course, this was all based on SS7 or AIN technology, I imagine.

To do this Asterisk would probably require a repeat dialing function that would ring you when it got a connection. Could some kind of existing predictive dialer function be employed to mimic this feature?
 
Telephone Reminders uses this kind of technology. I'll put it on the TO-DO list. Great idea!
 
Ward..any further work on this one yet? Ye old redial finger is getting sore. (jk)
