Currently I have multiple trunks with multiple inbound and outbound routes.

I have inbound route setup where it looks like this

7175554444/any --> goes to call group --> call group forwards it to outside number (7172223333#)

This works fine and the report looks like I want it.

The issue is the number gets forwarded by the first route in my list and the number that shows up in the remote phone is that of the first route.

I want to be able to say this if 2123334444 calls 7175554444 the call is forwarded to 7172223333. I want 7172223333 to see on the caller id 2123334444.

I would also like it to use the outbound route that is defined for that DID.

If you need more info to help me with my question or send me in the right direction let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Any one?

I be happy with at least assigning outbound routes to DID's

My callerID works like you described right out of the box. However, I do believe it matters whether or not your outbound provider lets you override the callerID number. From what I remember, most providers override the callerID Asterisk sends with your DID. If that is the case, then you will want to switch your outgoing provider.

I personally use voip.ms for my outgoing calls and they have no problem allowing my system to set the outgoing callerID number, which is either my DID (from les.net), or the number of the forwarded call.

Troy that is what I have discovered. The issue is the project is using a unorthodox provider for cost reasons.

Though on a side note I used custom context plug-in to correct the outbound calls. Basically forcing xyz extension to use xyz route.
