Hi,

I have been reading many threads on this and cannot find the answer, This was working fine. I can assume that it something to do with changing the MySQL password. But I have also upgraded just about every module and run upgrade_scripts and upgrade_fixes so just not sure what it is.

So far I have changed:

amportal.conf file (AMPDBPASS)
cdr_mysql.conf
modules.conf (load => cdr_addon_mysql.so)

What else am I missing?

Thanks

Tim

From the FreePBX forums I found this:

chown asterisk /var/lib/php/session/

And still no joy

Hi

Many people do run into problems when they change the underlying passwords, because you have to have a clear understanding of what is required, and how everything interacts, or you just end up breaking your system.

There is little point in changing the underlying passwords for the database and asterisk manager - they are both only listening to localhost, and the only way anyone can get access is if they are localhost too, then the Database and AMI passwords are the least of your worries.

My advice would be to put the passwords back as you found them. However, in your case, and if you must, although i believe you are wasting your time, did you change ALL the passwords in amportal.conf (check the end of the file), and run the apply script in the FreePBX installation files?

Okay,

This is for those that come after.

The issue was not the database, because obviously if the asteriskuser password was mucked, the rest of the system fails.

In this case cdr.conf had every config option commented out. This was not something I did, so it had to come from a recent upgrade. I failed to look at this before...because it was working and I didn't change anything and I 'm stupid.

Anyways, it usually the simple things.

Peace!
