Hi,

Just started to set the system live a couple of days ago and since the beginning I have the following problem.

After 2 minutes or so during a call, the person on the other end of the line stops hearing me, but I still hear the other person. Sometimes it helped putting the line on hold, but most of the times that does not help. It also happens when I call back the person, if that would make any difference..?

This happened before and after the QOS setup in the router. I have the following setup:

FreePBX 2.4.1.0 with all updates
Asterisk 1.4.21.2
Zoiper softphone, latest version
Trunk for outbound call at another sip provider, so I don't use an isdn card.

Hope you can help me out.

Thanks Robert

In the logs I found the following:
"....registration for 'username@sipprovider' timed out trying again (Attempt #2)"

What can be the cause of this sudden timeout, and reason why the other end suddenly stops hearing me?

Hopefully you know how to solve it.

Thanks,
Robert

Solved

Ok, I found the problem.
Here we use a Speedtouch modem and had to disable intrusion detection thru telnet.

Connect to your Speedtouch modem and enter following 2 commands:

ids config state=disabled
saveall

Done

Hope this helps others with similar problems.

Regards,
Robert
