Hi there,

I've had a working PBX in Flash install for over a year at our office and it's wonderful. I decided to start playing with Callback for when I'm somewhere local but need to place a long distance call.

Either way, I had Callback setup to route the call through to the main IVR, and ultimately access the hidden, password protected DISA if needed.

Anyway, Callback does call me back but hangs up after a single ring. If I answer it immediately, it still hangs up almost right away.

Am I missing something? Everything else works beautifully, we have 10+ extensions, IVR, Voicemail, password-protected DISA all working fine.

a few things I would try. based of course off of what I have been told from others on this site.

put the system into debug "asterisk -rvv"

see what happens and post it so others can help direct you.

and also how long is your time before a call back.

maybe try to put the callback time to at least 15 and point it to an IVR, say even the main IVR just to see if it is getting you there right.

sounds almost like a carrier problem though to be honest. just my $0.02. like somehow it is choosing the wrong outbound trunk to call you and then dropping.

good luck either way.

Will do.

As for the carrier problem... that's a possibility. One of our carriers (a backup) has occasionally displayed this type of calling behaviour (immediate hang-up) before.

It was actually routed (pointed) to our main IVR, so I did have that one covered.

I will put it into debug mode and have a look.

Thanks!
