Hello !

I have an issue and cannot find the solution, and I have done a lot of search

I have a server, that we will call A, and another one, that we'll call B

The A server is the main server. It is from him that the B server will log in IAX2, in order to phone from everywhere in the world.

So, I have created, on the A server, an IAX2 "extension" (5080815).

On the B server, I have created an "IAX2 trunk" from the datas on the A server (5080815), I have no problem till there.

What I'm not able to do, is transmitting correctly the "CallerID" of the "extensions" that are used in B server for outgoing calls.

Each time a call is done, it is the number 5080815 from A server that shows, not the "CallerID" of the extension on the B server. For example 5080830 and 5080831, ...

How can I let an access for the "Extensions' CallerID" on the B server to get through for outgoing calls ?

I'm looking forward to reading you soon and thank you for your help

Best regards,

Christophe

Hi

In the outbound route, there is a tick box marked "Intra Company Route", tick it, and this may do the trick for you.

I had allready tried to use the "Intra company route" and it doesn't work. The system always shows the extension AIX2 of the A server (5080815)
For the calls from B server to A server in internal, I need to send the "CID Num Alias" of the "Extension" from B server (0415080830)

For the calls from B server to A server with a call in the world, I need to send the "Outbound CID" of the "extension" from B server (00XX415080830)
Is it possible?

Hi

This should be possible.

You must be setting the caller ID somewhere in the system, either at the trunk, in the field at the top, or you are using "fromuser" in the trunk definition, or it is being set at the extension.

I have used this method for intracompany routes before and it works perfectly, however, I'm assuming that you can set the outbound caller ID to your carrier for external calls.

I read that you have one end set up as an extension. I think you need both ends set up as trunks. There is documentation on the wiki to walk you through that, but if you can't find it, post again and I will dig up my copy and post it.

Hello,
Thanks for your answers

I can confirm that the "Intra Company Route" solution isn't working for an IAX2 extension...

It works very well with the "trunks" on both sides. (I was allready using this method before)

But, I don't know how to be able to manage the "trunk" as an "extension" on the A server.

Do you have any idea?

Best regards,
