I've gone through the xivo install 5 or 6 times - on multiple hosts (linux, Mac) both running virtualbox 5.0.26. It seems to install fine. I login as root and edit /etc/ssh/sshd_config to allow ssh logins and then log out of the VM (leaving the VM running) after getting the IP address.

Then i open a web browser and point to the VM's IP address - no joy. All i get is:
This site can’t be reached
192.168.1.149 refused to connect.

Try:

ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

I've been using incredible pbx for years - no issues - it's running right now on another VM. i can't find anything i've done wrong - there aren't too many steps here to have missed much...

any suggestions?

Did you whitelist the computer's IP address using the add-ip command?

I'm not that far - i've not yet run
./IncrediblePBX13-XiVO.sh

before downloading and running the above, the instructions say to finish the installation by pointing a web browser to the IP address of the VM.

Before realizing this, i had, on previous installation attempts, run the incrediblePBX13-XiVO.sh script and it installed but with errors:
Code:
Adjusting hostname to FQDN...
New hostname: xivo.incrediblepbx.com
To continue with installation, press ENTER. Or press Ctrl-C to abort.
Configuring XiVO. Please wait...
Login to web interface as root with web password.

Please verify no errors shown above in XiVO configuration step.

Although the installer continues to run if you hit enter here and it seems to finish fine, but when i try to connect i get a 404 not found error.

could never get the incrediblePBX13-XiVO.sh script to install w/o errors on top of the XiVO ISO.

so, resorted to installing Debian 8 minimal install and then running incrediblePBX13-XiVO.sh - that worked and i can now point to IP of the VM and bring up the login screen in the browser.
