I went through all of the pages of the Cisco 7970 treasure trove and see that a number of folks were able to get SCCP working in 2007/2008 with older versions of asterisk.

Anyone been able to do it lately?

I downloaded the latest Chan_SCCP from sourceforge and tried to "make" it. This fails. Pages of issues.. Starting with...

In file included from common.h:86,
from sccp_channel.c:23:
sccp_pbx_wrapper.h:24: warning: ‘struct ast_rtp’ declared inside parameter list

In a 2010 post Walker_jr indicated he had to "install the latest packages for libtool, autoconf and automake". I was able to get these downloaded and installed, but Chan_SCCP-3.0_RC3.1 does not successfully recompile.

did you see that RC4 was released? I'm not sure if it addresses anything...

You posted a warning message from complier which doesn't mean anything

You need to post the part where it fataled for us to help you.

The SCCP crew are still working on the Asterisk V1.8 port - I have been nagging them for months. They sent me their code base the other day, - a subtle hint that they were looking for help (but without much detail on what stage they were at etc... The forum on sourceforge will probably have more detail...

Ah! Thats right. It's why I stayed at version 1.6 of Asterisk!

Thanks MisterQ! :D

So...what would I need to do to get it working on 1.8? I REALLY want to get some 7920s and hook them up to PIAF.
