After installing PIAF and then Incredible PBX there are several trunks outbound routes set up. Is there a document that explains all of them? I just want the ones required for google voice, I will add the others later when I want to use them.

It would be great if there was a doc saying what Incredible PBX sets up and how it works so it is easy to follow and not delete anything.

I Believe that:
IPKall, Sipgate,custom-gv (custom) were from the old way where Google called back. Keep them but check the Disable Trunk about 3 or 4 options down.If we have to go back to the old way - you'll have it ready.

Vitel-Inbound and Vitel-Outbound is for Vitelity which Piaf and Nerdvittles users get a special rate (is this still true, Mr Ward?) via a special sign up link on the Nerd Vittles website - just scroll down past the article (large Green Square) by using this link NV gets a small referral donation -- helps out the projects.

Freenum is for the ISN (sip direct calling) search this forum for freenum / mothership for some details. I can't be much help on this as I can't get mine working myself yet.

The gvoice and if you have a gvoice-gmailname these are the NEW way.

ENUM is for the e164.org /ENumPlus lookups - If a number is listed on enum.org, e164.org enumplus.org then if a match is found for the number you are calling with a SIP uri route the call goes out as pure VOIP/SIP and bypasses the PSTN altogether.

If you are unsure of a trunk, don't delete it but just Disable it, you may need it in the future -- Disabling turn the Name to a gray background.

Hope this gives you some ideas as to the pre-installed trunks and their uses.

Thanks!

Thanks Kevin that helped out a lot. I wish I did the disable before I deleted the ones I thought were not needed for me. Do you also know which outgoing/incoming routes from the default setup aren't needed?

Thanks!

Will;

If you were doing a fresh install and haven't done much yet with it just to a reinstall from scratch again -- this will put the defaults back in.

As for inbound routes in the default install, I think they were

FreeNum (Matches trunk for explanation)

Default (Any DID/Any CID) This is what I call a catch all but could be used for all incoming DIDs. My setup is a little wierd so I use this to Terminate/Hangup on the advice of Posters in this forum (to do with SIP fishing)

Enum (e164/any CID)

gv-incoming is for Google Voice

GVin (gvoice-name/GVoiceDID) is a call bridge for when you call out [I think that is the reason]

I'm not sure of any other Default installed inbound routes - List the ones I forgot and I'll try to remember.

And before you ask: Outbound Routes
ENUM - for Enum Lookups (SIP URI dialing Route)
OutFreeNum - FreeNum Outbound route
OutSKYPE - If you have Skype and follow the NerdrVittles Article and get it to work (My RentPBX box doesn't seem to like Skype)
GoogleVoice - Goolgle VOice Route (dialplan includes a 48 prefix so anyone can force the use of GV for a call.
Default is the route that would be used if no other route matches the number dialed.

Outbound routes are compared from top down so if you want them checked i a specific order - plaxce them in that arrangement by drag/drop the name.

Let me know if there is anything else.

Thanks I appreciate it, I think a clean install may be in order since I am having other problems, like logs not working, and loosing inbound calls from google after a period of time. It works sometimes others it doesn't.
