After much scrounging and help from others, I put in place a Piaf-based Asterisk PBX system in my home and I love it. I actually even got Sendmail working!

For anyone who wants it, let me know. I could not post it here since it is a 700k+ file and the upload limitatiohns prevented me posting, but if you give me a way to get it to you, I will.

It is in a word .doc format, but I can make it a .pdf if you'd rather.

I am NOT pushing for business and realistically, I am NOT going to take calls for help. This is just my way of giving back to a community that has really helped me.

FYI, here is the Table of Contents, to give you a sense of what is in it:

Ditto. I have some extra web space. PM me a link to the file or PM me for my EMail address.

PDF's are great for portability, but having the word document would allow people to add/modify/delete... so I could see the argument for both. As is the beauty of Wiki's, anyone can edit them (and print to pdf).

Perhaps this could be added to the PIAF Wiki?

I recall looking at this when it was first released. My recollection is that it described a fairly unusual install. But I'll take another look at it.

Updated install guide

I have updated the install guide for PBXiaf Purple - Asterisk 1.8 and FreePBX 2.8 with End Point Manager

I have used it for a Home Install and a small (3 person) business and it works like a charm. Instructions are included for configuring Sendmail, FAXing, Conferenceing, Ring Groups, Paging/Intercom, ... but NOT IVRs - you could add this if you want, but for home and a tiny business, Ring Groups were fine.

I also included instructions on installing SugarCRM on the same server - which required adding instructions for upgrading PHP to v5.2.10 and it works fine with PBXiaF (the instructions to upgrade PHP came from the Centos support site). I would NOT recommend hosting PBXiaf and SugarCRM on the same server for any thing larger than a tiny business, but I put it on a 64-bit machine with 4GB RAM and it works fine, even when I host conference calls with 5 people on them.

Updated manual available

I have updated the manual for anyone who wants it.

It now includes instructions for:
-Installing Asterisk/FreePBX
-Installing SugarCRM on the same box
-Developing and Installing Custom modules (Event Manager included)

The file is 360 pages and over 2 mb so it exceeds the .pdf upload limit set for this site. email if you want it.

Does anyone have the current version of this available for download?

Thanks

PM me for manual

If you want a pdf of the manual I created, just PM me. I canot upload due to size restrictions.
