I've seen this problem several times in my searches but I haven't resolved it.

I am running a pretty current version of PIAF. I have my IVR set to where callers can get into a conference. They get asked for a password, the welcome message plays and then it hangs up. The Log files for asterisk has the following message:

WARNING[3052] app_meetme.c: Unable to open DAHDI pseudo device

The instructions say that meetme conferencing needs DAHDI installed.

I notice that Zap/Dahdi says UNKNOWN below. Suggestions.

Ah, evidently dahdi is there, but needs to be installed? I needed to:
  1. login to a terminal session, I logged in as root but probably not required.
  2. cd /usr/src/dahdi
  3. sudo make all
  4. sudo make install
  5. sudo reboot now (probably there is a less forceful way rather than reboot, but it gets the job done)

There was a brief period when dahdi wasn't being properly set up during the install. Lucky you. :biggrinjester:
