Has anyone got this working 100%? I'm almost there but have a niggling problem...

Asterisk 1.8.4.1 and FPBX 2.9.0.6 installed using PIAF purple.

I'm using Yealink T26's (nice phones...) and Aastra 6757i's to test.

Sip options for the extensions have been altered to send PAI.

For the most part it's working; when I call an extension I'm shown the name of the called party so the connectedline() and display updates are working ok. Transfers also work as expected.

The problem is with call pickup, either using *8 or ** directed pickup.

For example if A calls B, A sees B's name and B sees A's name, fine so far.

However, if C picks up the ringing call, A now sees "device" rather than C's name. C does correctly see A's name.

Can anyone else who is using this feature confirm that they also see this?

Cheers,
Andy.

After some digging around I've found that the "device" string is coming from the 'callerid= ' setting in sip_additional.conf

As there's no way in the gui to edit this, I'm using sip_custom_post.conf to force callerid= to the user's name.

There's got to be a more elegant way to fix this -- the problem seems to lie in the FreePBX code that generates the sip_additional.conf file.

Have you opened a bug on this at freepbx.org/trac yet? I am sure its a simple mistake and can be fixed easy enough.
