Well...............
To say that 'Full Orgasmatron' installs would experience less hardware failure just cuz PiaF has an ISO just for it would be WAY off-base. The point of the Walmart Special is it's a.) prepackaged - so you don't have to know how to build a PC, and b.) it's lower than dirt cheap. Don't mislead yourself that the machine itself is of higher quality or resiliancy than more expensive options.
Think of it this way, you have a $200 machine that has a 3GHz whatever processor with 2GB of memory and blah blah blah... over here, you have the same 3GHz processor and same 2GB of memory and blah blah blah, but it's $1,000.
^^^ Are there any differences?
Well ofcourse... sure brand names may tend to blow up price, but it's a very commoditized market too. So while it may have the same "Intel Inside" or whatever at the center, you could expect a higher quality motherboard, higher quality power supply, and so on... summarized, it could be equated to "Made in China" versus "Made in USA/Japan/etc".
Hardware failures can stop a machine from working just as easily as it can create corruption or kill another high quality component (such as that $300+ audioboard you have sitting in that $200 PC).
...sorry for the rant.
The Walmart special is good for home users, hobbyists, and those just starting out... you would not run a business on one (atleast I wouldn't).
Troubleshooting anything computer-based is detective work, and you really do need a starting point... and perhaps the best place is to see where you're at right now: does it seem to be working okay now?
