I have set up numerous test systems using SIP trunks, but now I am trying to set up one with an FXO Card.

It is a clean install, and the card is recognized in the cli. But when I try to point an outbound route to the trunk "ZAP/g0", the call does not complete, I get the all circuits are busy message.

Is there anything else I am supposed to configure?

Thanks

Assuming you took the proper steps to configure ZAP or DAHDI then try pointing it to 1,2,3,4 etc instead of g0. Depends on the card and number of FXO jacks you have. Get it working this way and then set up Zap groups later

Which steps are you referring to?

I ran "dmesg" and I did receive:
wcfxo: DAA mode is 'FCC'
Found a Wildcard FXO: Wildcard X100P.

I don't believe that PIAF's default configuration provides a workable chan_dahdi.conf

Here is one that I use taken from the Elastix iso... that works with my Digium PCI express AEX800 which has 4 FXO and 4 FXS

Thank You for your help.

I dont know if this is part of the problem, but I dont have a /etc/dahdi folder.

How about going back to basics please !

What does the status screen show for release levels ?
Code:
* Running Asterisk Version : Asterisk 1.4.26.2
* Asterisk Source Version  : 1.4.26.2
[B]* Dahdi Source Version[/B]     : 2.2.0.2+2.2.0
* Libpri Source Version    : 1.4.10.2
* Addons Source Version    : 1.4.9

If you want Dahdi, and you may or may not depending on the generation and manufacturer of the card.

You need to do update-fixes, update-scripts, update-fixes, update-source and walk through the prompts to get to 1.4.26/27 and Dahdi. Plus a number of reboots. If you want Zaptel then a ks-... Install of a 1.4 ISO should have gotten you to the "PIF stable" version.

Then you have to look at appropriate Gen tool.

Good Luck..

Thank You for your help.

I don't know if this is part of the problem, but I don't have a /etc/dahdi folder.

So you are using Zaptel -- genzaptelconf with the switches appropriate for your box.

Most likely the ebay card will be happy with Zaptel, and might work with Dahdi -- Which you should use is a political question that you must decide --

---------------

The screen shows:

Code:
 Running Asterisk Version : Asterisk 1.4.21.2
* Asterisk Source Version  : 1.4.21.2
* Zaptel Source Version    : 1.4.12.1
* Libpri Source Version    : 1.4.10
* Addons Source Version    : 1.4.7
I installed this using the auto command from the 1.4 release

I am using this card: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160331750263&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Should I be using dahdi or zaptel?

Thanks

With Asterisk 1.4 use Zaptel, with Asterisk 1.6 use Dahdi (I use Asterisk 1.6)

Got it working now.

Thank You very much for all your help.

Now I have a different problem (in this thread) with the card becoming unconfigured after each reboot.
