I am trying to set-up call recording on demand, on the gui under dial options there is no box to check for Xx or Ww, I have tried to find this in a config file but cant find it, I have enabled the feature in features.conf but need to make a change to the dial options, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Have you looked in Chapter 3 of the Asterisk Appliance Manual that covers Asterisk-GUI??

I have looked through that chapter and it shows the dial options that you can check off but I don't see how we would add extra dial options for the recording feature.

In extension.conf I found "DIALOPTIONS = tThHkK" I changed it to "DIALOPTIONS = tThHkKWw" and recordings now appear in /var/spool/asterisk/monitor. I'm not sure this is the correct location for modifiying the dial options as it may get over writen ?

Maybe this is something that can be set as default in future PIAF-GUI systems

Ultimately I would like to see these recordings go back to the old way and show up in your mail box which makes it easy to listen to or have it emailed like your other voice mail messages.

Asterisk-GUI is very good at not overwriting your custom entries. I would think you're probably good to go now. I'll add it to the next image. Thanks.
