DIDforSale Call Answer Delay

Hi,

I'm testing a DID from DIDforSale, and I'm experiencing an issue. I'm calling into X-Lite. X-Lite rings and I click "Answer." X-Lite shows that the call is connected. However, on the calling phone I still hear a ring for another three to four seconds. For some reason, the calling phone is not aware that the call is connected...which of course is a problem if the first part of the call (for example the business' name and greeting) is truncated.

Any ideas what could be causing this, and how to fix it?

Is the DID going direct to X-Lite, or is there an Asterisk (PiaF) between DID for sale and xlite?

There is PIAF in between. I've just checked with a CallCentric DID, and the same thing happens. Calling from a cell phone too...I wonder if that adds to the delay.
 
Update: Tried on a GXP-2020 instead of X-Lite, and the results were much better. Must be an X-Lite issue. Sorry for the bother.
 
Hi

Start by taking the xlite leg out of the equation, and sending the call to say an announcement or "Say Time" e.g. something that is not an extension.

Then watch the full log for clues. If there are no clues, switch on SIP debug, and see if you can discover the issue.

The key to this is to discover whether your system has a problem, or whether to raise a trouble ticket with the carrier.

Additionally, you may try registering x-lite and see if you experience the same problem.

Thanks. Yep, that was the solution, taking X-Lite out of the equation. That showed where the problem was fairly quickly. Thanks again.
