QUESTION Digium phones and contacts-internal-xx.xml file

What creates / updates this file? I have hand edited it to show the buttons I want and at some point later I notice it is back to what was created when I initially installed the phone. I have not tracked down when it changes since I am not at this extension all the time. I'm going to guess at a system reload but don't know yet. Even if it is, how do I fix it so it does not keep overwriting it?

DPMA module from Digium writes that for all extensions on your FreePBX system and they give you NO control over it.
