distinctive ring for transfers?

Googling brings up several hits with this question but most of the answers involve custom coding and are fairly old. Is there a FreePBX or "standard" way to make the phones ring differently when a call is being transferred to them? The users want to be able to answer the phone differently if it is a transfer instead of the usual "Thank you for calling company X ...."
