Does adding this open any security holes ?

I made a donation and installed this on a Lylix hosted system. A system that does not currently have port 80 open...

I am now looking into how I might secure this install well enough to expose the hitAppoint ( which seems like a winner ) and not compromise the system.

Any hints or different methods I should be considering ?

1. What would be considered a reasonable or fair donation for 'tinkering' purposes? I personally do not have a direct need for such an application, but would love to be able to become familiar with its features and operation. For me, I could benefit from its educational value, versus commercial use. But at the same time, I don't want to simply present myself as a 'bottom-feeder' !!

2. Another scenario where this application might fit the bill, would be to 'sign up' participants for a class or training event, where there might be 'X' number of seats available for a single session, for example. The write-up on the HitAppoint web site does mention a configuration setting for 'Total Seats', but doesn't elaborate further. It almost sounds like HitAppoint could satisfy this booking need as well, but would need clarification. Just my $.02...

Being able to finally donate to a much worthy Distro is well overdue on my part. I've been following/using PBXinaFlash for a few years now. Have had great success with tons of benefits while using PiaF. My donation was a small token of my appreciation along with great hope to have the PiaF crew continue their on-going quest in developing this top-notch open source PBX.
This post isn't meant to solicit a donation nor have anyone feel guilty on not donating. I'm simply expressing my gratitude with a donation for the appreciation I've experienced over the years using this fine open source software. It's the least I can do, since I'm unable to contribute via developing.
All that said, I get a licensed copy of HitAppoint. If that's not icing on the cake, don't know what is. Thanks Ward & crew!

Update

Has anyone tried an update yet? I've played with the software and it's pretty cool. There are some bugs that look like they've been addressed, however I can't seem to update the software using the info on hitappoint's website.
