Hi,

Can someone point me in the right direction.

I am getting some noise on my calls, it sounds like someone is pressing keys on the dial pad. It only happens for very short stints. The caller on the zap line doesn't hear it?

Config:

Pentium 4 3.0
1 GB
sata HD
Sangoma A200D Card v 3.3.12 software
Aastra 57i
linksys srw208mp POE Switch
Linksys WRV200 router.

Thanks

Could very well be jitter and or package loss.

See...when a package is dropped the jitter buffer inserts the last good package, to avoid cracks in the sound. However if to many package are dropped this will sometimes sound like dtmf tones.
Have seen this on several systems.
Normal cause choppy internet connection.

Hi Maxr

Thanks for the reply.

Actually, I am not using external sip for this call. It's aastra sip phone > asterisk > sangoma a200d.

So, the internal network is 100mbit. So really shouldn't have an issue.

Any other thoughts?

same problem here

Deano,

Having the same type problem here. Seems at random on a call I'll here a single touchtone like someone has pressed a key on the keypad but neither caller or receiver did.

I'm running AAstra 57i's with Sangoma A200 card as well on strictly pots lines, no voip yet.

Anyone figured out what might be causing this? :confused5:

This seems to be a symptom of many VOIP systems. I used to get that all the time on Vonage and Voicepulse but haven't had too many problems running on Asterisk. It appears to be that certain voice types, usually women, generate tones that the system interprets as a touch tone and then the system repeats it and you hear a touch tone. I'd be curious to know how people have cleared up that issue.

What I found on the Sangoma card was I needed to re-install with the latest drivers 3.3.12. These are the beta but very good anyway. Then during the install, you have to say no to the generate DTMF from the card. That fixed 99% of the issue for me.

THanks
