Dundi blocked by firewall

Do you have to open a port (4520?) through your firewall for the DUNDi peers to communicate. Debug data points to that anyway. Also, having followed John's tutorial very closely I still can't get a query to show anything for either entity in my little 2 node cloud. Debugging pointers would be appreciated.

Yes, you need to open UDP 4520 and point it to your phone servers on both ends. Make sure you have copied each machine's public key to the other machine and finally, make sure you have the peer information set up in dundi.conf for the remote machine.

Crypto not so cryptic

John,

Moved over my public keys as instructed but apparently, something didn't work right. When I do a query, the peers talk but I see an "Unencrypted responses not permitted".

The weird thing is that I had the firewall on one side of the connection open and when I reloaded res_crypto on the other end I would see it load the key. When I reloaded res_crypto on this side I never saw it load the remote's key. Then I drove over to the other office and opened the firewall there. Now I can't see either key being loaded.

Any suggestions? I've got both firewalls open to 4520 now but I haven't set up the trunks or done anything else in the dial plans.

Thx for the offer John. I couldn't ask you to spend your Sunday evening figuring out my bonehead problems. But it it sure is nice of you to offer. Turned out that I had the inkey and outkey parameters in the mapping section backwards. What can I say? I'm a dope! Anyway, I have that part working now. I'm starting on the dialplan stuff next.

I may bug ya still if I get stuck on that part.
