I've been trying to get to www.e164.org for several days now and the web site appears down. Does anyone have info on this?

Unreachable here as well from a Comcast line. I haven't heard anything about them making changes or otherwise. Fairly recently another forum had a thread that was hitting them pretty hard for seemingly becoming a voip hacker resource, but I don't think it's related.

e164.org has been unresponsive for at least three days. Enumplus doesn't seem to send the confirmation emails.

A Solution

We are awaiting our host to get working rDNS (PTR records) set for mail.enumplus.org - this means many email servers will not talk to us - we are consequently bounced...

If you have signed up and have not received a validation email you have two options :

1) Send me a PM (or email if you know it) and I will immediately validate your account.

2) Sign up with your gmail address - we have no problem sending to most well known providers.

I have added some very powerful new features - Dynamic DNS, Instant Error / Bug Reporting, 5 Minute Validation Interval... etc.

I expect to have the reverse zone set up for the end of the week (I know it is a simple task but we are relying on other people...). Sorry about any inconvenience - the rest of the app is kicking ass!

For those that have had toll-free calls blown out of the water by the disappearance of e164.org , just add enumplus.org to /etc/asterisk/enum.conf and reload your dialplan:

search => enumplus.org

That is if you are running the patched enumlookup.agi script (the fpbx dudes have ignored this bug for a LONG time).

Another solution is to use my module written specifically for this reason - it uses a database to store your enum lookup sources and does not require freepbx reload.

Their zone DNS is still up, and there's an A record for www, but tracing to that address (hosted by ServerAxis at Equinix, I think) returns nothing; I'm betting the
box is down, due to a failure at either level 0 (hardware) or level 8 (money).
