Hi Folks,
Do you know about If This Then That? (www.ifttt.com). It is a platform for interconnecting automation on the internet.
The are some 600 "channels" that you can use for inbound and outbound information.
One of those cool channels is called the "Maker" channel. In the maker channel, you submit web requests, which can include a request item and up to three other variables (source event) or sink actions using your own web url.
In less than 5 minutes, I wrote a dial plan to answer a call, request a digit and make a web post to the ifttt maker channel. This channel is then used in your own "recipes" , which connect an event with an action. In my case, I used the ifttt channel WINK to interconnect with my WINK hub, and I can turn lights on and off with my pbx. Pretty COOL!
The possibilities are endless. Dictate an SMS and send it via SMS, or post a note on your HDTV (via the Comcast Labs Xfinity integration channel)
