I have just moved to PIAF Purple build from a VERY old pure Trixbox build - I manually setup my trunks, my exensions etc to all be the same - down to the username+passwords etc.
Our endpoints are old Grandstream GXP2000 model phones - all I did was change the IP address of the phone configurations from the old phone to the new phone - restarted amportal on the new PBX and ran service asterisk stop on the old PBX, reboot the phones and we were up in a very short time.
So far - I'm very happy - but there have been learning opportunities..
One thing is puzzling me - we use voicemail from the web interface - and previously on the Trixbox, when we deleted the last VM, the endpoint VM indicator light would stop flashing within a few seconds - ie, manage VM via the web + the flashing light would go off almost immediately the last VM in the Inbox was either deleted, or moved to another folder.
With PIAF - those indicators stay flashing. I have found two ways to get that indicator to do out - restart amportal (not a good idea) - or pickup the phone and this the programmed VM button - get the "you have no voicemails" and then either hang-up or hit # to exit.
Does anyone have any tips on what I need to tweak either at the endpoint, or the PIAF/freepbx side for the indicator light on the endpoint to pickup the zero-VMs waiting status? There's no point in using the web based VM management if every user has to then pickup + dial VM from the endpoint.
thx
