I retweaked the code from JBH and Joe Roper and built an EXPERIMENTAL script to update PIAF-Purple (Asterisk 1.8 only!) builds to the latest Asterisk 1.8.7.0-rc2 release for those that want to live on the Bleeding Edge. Feel free to try it on a NON-PRODUCTION PIAF-Purple system ONLY! Note the segfault fix. Also a lot of work on PARKING LOTS that needs testing!

Log into your existing PIAF-Purple (Asterisk 1.8) server as root and issue the following commands:

wget http://pbxinaflash.com/update-1.8.7.0-rc2.tar.gz
tar zxvf update-1.8.7.0-rc2*
./update-1.8.7.0-rc2
