I am having a hard time finding a SIP phone which has an 'audio out' jack allowing an external amplified speaker to be connected
Senario: IP phone in the office, with external powered speaker in the large noisy room adjacent so that the user can hear ringing and also hear 'pages'
I dont want to fork out $500 for a SIP pager or SIP ringer if at all possible, just an external speaker to the existing phone (that we havent purchased yet)

I'd just get an adapter from the headset jack, honestly. Check out the Plantronics devices. IIRC they have something that you are looking for.
Mitel 52XX and 53XX have an expansion module for a conference speaker IIRC.

So I know it's not ideal - but this was my answer. Took a super cheap PC (say like the $149 booksize solid state PC) and installed a softphone. Plugged in the headphone output to our whole house audio amplifier. Now, I dial the extension, and it plays it's ringtone through the premises. Dial the intercom code, and it opens up like a one way page output.

Saladman 's reply reminded me that the Grand stream BT200 has a 2.5mm out. So does the Cisco SPA5XX series.
I use the BT200 for my whole house paging.

Saladman,
I thought of that except we use multicast paging directly to the IP phone.

Rossiv,
Is the BT200 audio out labeled 'Ext Speaker' or 'Headset'? If 'Headset' then Im not sure it will ring to it as I also use a headset and Ive never heard ringing nor paging audio to the headset except if I was on a call at the time. Rining and pages only go to the built in speaker.

AFAIK it does ring. I have mine set to always auto answer but I'm not sure.
