Around this time last year roughly the FCC required basically everyone in the RMD to re-file. There have been new requirements added as well for the RMD. The deadline for this was around March 2024 and there was a 30 day extension.

On Dec 10th 2024 the FCC released an order that listed 2,411 providers in the RMD who are not in compliance with RMD requirements. This includes those that did not re-file as required earlier this year and those who did but didn't check off all the requirements for the filing. The 2,411 providers have been given until Dec 24th 2024 to fix their RMD filings to meet all the requirements. Those who do not do this will be removed from the RMD and removal means that all traffic will be required to be blocked for those removed. Removal also means that extra vetting will be done in order to be re-added to the RMD.

I'm pretty confident a good chunk of that 2,411 will fix their RMD submissions and fall into proper compliance. I will be interested in seeing the list of removals after the deadline.

Yeah.... .some of those probably should not have signed up to begin with, probably something to do with a major misunderstanding of how it worked and who needed to do it.

BTW: you may or may not have an email from me depending on if the other site actually sends it or not.
