feedback on phone

Seems like today is my day of mysteries.. I have one extension when they are on a call the person they call can hear them clear as day. But when the other caller talks the get a squeal or feedback on their end. The person on the extension does not hear this squeal or feedback, only the person they called hears this sound.

It happens with inbound or outbound calls. Via IAX, SIP to the pstn or extension to extension. I replaced the phone thinking it was that but it did not change a thing. There have been no changes to the system.

I'm stumped as to where to look for a solution.

Sounds really odd - do you have the phone plugging into a managed switch to see if there is any problems with the connection? Have you tried a different network port?

Yes, I have switched the ports that it is plugged into. That did not seem to make a difference.
