Damn - this is NOT homework central. Do your research, and then if you have some legit questions that show you've done your research, I'm sure you'll find people more accepting to give you some assistance.

You're right, I don't understand the question either, and this isn't Homework do for me forum either. But it is what you get when the domain is changed to voip-info and you have a board called Asterisk with a description of anything to do with asterisk. (Soapbox off)

Now I did have a question to do with asterisk but is HamRadio related - I know we have a couple in here (w1wv?).

There is a way to use radio in asterisk (app_rpt.so - to which I cannot find for the life of me) a project called AllstarLink uses an ancient version of asterisk (think *2.something) but I want to 'bridge this to my incredible 2020 (IAX trunk) calls from our repeater could DTMF *4357 (*Help) or similar and get a dial tone to call someone when Cell signals (which are horrible in Maine in places).

I know I can make a trunk, but then how to accomplish the dial plan where dialing that code in one system (which is on a RasPi3 -> Main Box, Get a Dial tone (maybe ask for a password first) then dial out through our system (possibly including internal extensions (it's for a club after all). Thinking DISA or some such.

Not important now but we'd like to try this as an experiment.

Been awhile since I did this, and yes because of the lack of support for Zaptel and Dahdi in latter releases this seems to be stuck in the past. I know that Steve W9SH used to do a lot of this, but have not talked to him in awhile and the web site he had is no longer active. DMK Eng has the interface hardware, but most of there links to APP-RPT are likewise no longer valid. All Star seems to be the most direct route to any active information..
