Hi All,

Hope you had happy holidays and a well deserved break from all things voip.

I have a question in regards to inbound rules and IVR.

I have an inbound rule connecting my DDI to my extension 200. So when customers call my DDI they get through to my extension "200" and if I don't answer the phone in 15 seconds the call goes to my VM, life is good.

But what I want to configure is sending the caller to an IVR instead of VM (after timeout). This way the caller has options to leave me a VM, go to my cell phone etc....

I couldn't find any where obvious to actually configure that.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Set up a ring group as the destination for your inbound route. In the Ring Group, choose the extension(s) to ring when the call comes in and then select the IVR desired for calls which go unanswered.

Why didn't I think of that :-)

Thanks Wardmundy. Happy New Year

FreePBX has its own quirky way of doing certain things. This is one of them.
