FreePBX 2.4 Final Has Been Released

This marks the second major release of the FreePBX team in 6 months. Allot of blood sweat and tears has gone in to this. You will see team members spending all of their free time patching and debugging. This is hell on a personal and family life but when it is like one of your children you carry on. To see an unfunded project survive as long as FreePBX is amazing but I wouldn't count on it happening for another year. You see these people have families and more importantly wives . All who are married know who is in charge, even if they let us pretend we are. I don't think think they are looking for a mortgage payment, although they probably wouldn't object, but they do need hush money. So if your married think how much would you need to buy peace for an hour of coding and well times it by 16 a day 7 days a week. Maybe the mortgage payment is the cheaper option. In all serious though please donate to the project @ FreePBX.org . $25 buys flowers. $75 dinner $500 maybe the start of a new feature. whatever you can give please do. If you give please post on this thread and be recognised.

well done to the team

and yes, a very timely occasion to contribute with a donation as an appreciation for all their efforts - it's on it's way with a big thanks.

I couldn't agree more. They do some FANTASTIC work (as to Tom and Ward).

I too have made a nice sized donation to their cause.

This will boost the confidence of the FreePBX team to let this (great) release into the public.

Oh ya, while you're there, donate!!

Daily backup broken after freePBX update
I noticed my daily backup did not work this morning after I have done a freePBX upgrade. does any one els have this problem ? this is what I get if I run it myself
root@pbx:/etc/cron.daily $ ./dailybackup.cron
./dailybackup.cron: line 263: /var/www/html/admin/modules/backup/bin/piafampbackup.pl: No such file or directory

Disconnected from Asterisk server
KERBEROS_V4 rejected as an authentication type
root@pbx:/etc/cron.daily $

I was running the beta versionof 2.4, and upgraded to final with no issues.

I too have found that the backup schedules have stopped working, along with the "click here to reload" that now does not come up when saving a new backup schedule.

Cron reports are the same as earlier mentioned, that ampbackup.pl does not exist

I too had the same problem with the daily backup being broken after the FreePBX update and was getting the same message...

I ended up doing a:

ln -s /var/lib/asterisk/bin/piafampbackup.pl /var/www/html/admin/modules/backup/bin/piafampbackup.pl

and that fixed the problem (at least for me)...
