ok, 2.6.0.beta2.0 is installed, and everything at a glance looks like it working.

Module listing has a slight problem - but is still useable

Also have access to a extra repo for 3rd party and unsupported modules....

Time to go play :)

well, something must have gotten reloaded from the browser cache correctly as the module listing is now back to normal.

I upgraded one server, everything appears fine. Clearing the browser cache fixed the overwritten text with the module list.

Everything went fairly smoothly for me too. I too experienced the overwritten text and clearing out the browser cache was all that was needed.

The one significant problem I had was when installing the module Asterisk SIP Settings. I was intrigued by the name of this module and installed. Everything stopped working. I promptly removed and everything was back to normal.

I didn't really care to look into any further, but maybe someone else can load up the module and see if they are able to dial outbound.

I also installed the Phone Restart module as this seemed cool. I couldn't get my Aastra 57i to reboot through the interface. This is something I will investigate as I would like to have this control especially on multi-tenant servers, so I can reboot phones in the middle of the night to upgrade firmware.

EDIT: Looks like the module Asterisk SIP Settings has been fixed. freepbx.org/news/2009-08-26/freepbx-2-6-beta-2-come-join-the-fun

I too experienced this on my test box. However I did not have to remove Asterisk SIP Setting module. I just update/submit a change on all my trunks. Thereafter all was well.

I can only assume there's a tie in from the trunk setting module to the Asterisk SIP Settings module. I say this as when viewing my trunks after the update I saw all my descriptions changed from my own naming convention to either SIP/IAX or ZAP description.

You'll likely have to do same on your extensions in the event you experience problems with inbound/outbound dialing. This is somewhat typical after a FreePBX update especially if the Core is part of the upgrade. My 2c. :smile5:

I had to disable the Sip settings module as well, no extensions or trunks would function until I disabled it.

Everything I tried before disabling the module I would get a congested tone.

update

had to do the same with the IAX module as well, all my internal IAX to IAX trunk links would no longer function.....

:(

Correct me if I am wrong - but it looks like 3.0 will not be avail for asterisk - looks like they are focusing on freeswitch now....?

Looks as though new SIP/IAX Setting modules are ready for download.

Likely bugs were found and fixed.

I did and followed instructions with checkoffs. But received a cannot connect to asterisk manager error.
ny ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I just upgraded and all seems to work fine. I placed calls with my IAX2 trunk with no problems also restarted Aastra phones.

ya the update IAX/SIP config modules have fixed the previous prob.

If you did not go in to the GUI and save changes (even the default ones listed) the modules would disable all the codecs....

the updated oncs make sure the core codecs are enabled by default.

I initially did hit save, cause I didn't want to mess anything up.

I see Imap settings in the voicemail area of extensions,(if using imap storage) has any one got this to work.

OK, you're wrong. Asterisk support just isn't ready yet.
