my installation (newest 32bit build) done a couple of days ago is freezing, screen would go black, cannot ping, no messages about in astrisk logs.
-no IRV no queues, no MOH. just straight though.

usually after 12+ hours this would happen. I have 2gigs of ram 2.2cpu, 1 nic.
and 1 line to my softphone. the load on the pc is obviously very low and I have a 10mb cable connection using les.net. 2mo old HD.

thought it was the PC so I swapped out the HD to a better faster 2.8cpu 2.5gigs ram. same problem.

and this was after a rebuild in the old PC because of the same problem.

How do I get full logs to look at this? I am stumped.

Most likely culprits are bad RAM and bad motherboard. Either way, there probably won't be a log. It's a bit like asking a person that just had a stroke... "What happened?"

tested the ram with mem test for 48h no errors. nothing I can pin down really hardware wise.

I'd check for bad sectors on the disk next. We found a machine that locked up daily. When we did and full Mondo backup and restore, we never had another problem. Mondo reformats the drive and blocks out bad sectors as part of the restore process.
