I have an odd problem. When on the phone, I can hear the person fine when they are talking. They can hear me fine when I'm talking. If we both talk at the same time it is garbbled.

Using PIAF 1.3 32 bit Freepbx 2.5 asterisk 1.4.22.1 or whatever the new one is that is shipped with PIAF.

Sangoma A200 with hardware EC, Core 2 duo with 2 gigs, big drive. Aasta 57i phone at my end , no idea what they have. Going over zap lines. Codecs are standard G711.

Thanks

Rob

So these calls are through POTS lines on the Sangoma card? What about calls from Aastra to Aastra 57i?

I'd try turning the hardware echo on then off. If the problem stops but you have echo (which I think you will over POTS) then try to adjust your gain levels. Even hardware echo gets grumpy with bad gain settings.

You won't need to run any patches since this info is a little dated. A simple reload works now too. No need to do a full restart of Asterisk.

Also, you may want to contact Sangoma on the issue.
