I'm new to this entire setup with PBX In a Flash and I've got everything working now today. I'm pretty excited about this setup. I got this IP Phone it's a Linksys IP Phone SPA921. It's finally working except for the inbound calls.

Basically when a call comes in the caller hears 4-5 rings and then google voicemail kicks in. What I see on my end is half a ring on my phone and before I even put my hand on the receiver the callers gone, sucked into google's voice mail service.

Is there a way to turn that off? Extend it longer? I want my PBX In a Flash software to handle my voice mails.

Hello!
Because people donate their time I think it would be advantageous to provide a minimum of information about your system prior to describing your problem. We have provided several tools such as status and statustofile in PIAF just for this reason. So far one or two people have used statustofile and some people have posted the output of status.

Really this needs to change so please please please at a minimum post a capture of the status command with your question/problem. Realistically you should also post info like is incredible installed, hardware specs, and other salient details. This will save time and allow the people who are trying to help interact with more people.

Perhaps something like

-Status output (At least once per thread)

-Hardware profile (at least once per thread)

-Problem (at least once per thread)

Be as detailed as possible. Posting hundreds of lines of log files in multiple posts tends make the gurus eyes glaze over especially when it is the same output over and over. Please post only a few lines initially of a log file! If the gurus want more info they will ask for it.

-What steps you have tried to resolve this problem

Could you please provide the information requested in this quote above so that we can assist you?

Thanks,

Sorry for the lack of details. I did some searching on the forums and also read the "read before posting" but was rushed to post before I ran out the door. Like many before me I suppose I hoped there was an easy setting to fix this. :smile5:

I haven't done much to try and fix it. I checked over google's settings 4-5 times looking for something to extend the rings before VM picks up. I haven't found anything on the site or via searching these forums.

If you need anything more please let me know. (like which log file to copy and paste and where it's located?)

Wait, are you using the "old" way of using GV by using Sipgate/IPKall, and not Purple?
