GSM or iBLC?

Greetings all -

My sister lives in Lebanon and SIP is not working very well, I decided to try IAX instead. I'll be testing Zoiper Free version, so I'm limited to either GSM or iBLC due to bandwidth limitation.

Any recommendation on which one I should tryout?

Here's a link that might help you decide. G.729 also should be considered.

I think I'll test with GSM and move to G729 once we conclude it works, I hate to pay for the Zoiper with G729 and the idea fails.
